Hello world!
I’m Dani Seat.
After years of saying I was going to do this, here I am, looking to give anyone wanting to read a bit of insight into my eyes and mind as I soak in all that this planet and its life has to offer.
I’m an American in my mid-twenties. I have travelled to more than 30 countries in the past 5 years, lived in 3 of them, and made friends and memories I will cherish for a lifetime. During that time, I also got degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and started my career as a reporter for a couple namely news outlets. I love it. My passions consist of journalism, travel, education, dance, yoga, doing what I can to make the world a better place, and learning at least one new thing every day.
I try to be as absolutely open-minded as possible and take any opportunity that comes my way. It has led to a lot of instability in my life, but I would not change a bit of it. I have rescued sea turtles in Malaysia, and worked as a production assistant at Fox News in NYC. I have danced for the Walt Disney Company on multiple continents, and talked politics with state legislators as a reporter for CBS 5 in Wyoming. I have friends from all over the world with every possible viewpoint on any given topic, and I enjoy hearing all of them.
I try to live by these two things:
- You can only judge people by their intentions
- Do what makes you happy
Simple enough, but you’d be surprised how hard both of these are for most people, myself included.
I love taking risks in traveling and in life, so as you read, don’t wonder what I was thinking in some situations–that’s not the point.
I will be writing as I travel, but I will also throw in some experiences from years ago that I haven’t shared before.
I hope you enjoy my stories, and I hope they inspire you to learn more about other places, cultures, and creators.
Happy adventuring!
Dani
